Tis a bug - a big one (I should have read the patch info properly)... >1156280: PPP causes system to crash > >ppp will crash the system during option negotiation if the peer machine >sends a NAK of certain options. God knows how Sun missed that one :-) Anyway, with 2.4 installed on both boxes the thing works very nicely thankyou. It would seem however, that the admintool in 2.4 has holes in it - at least the serial manager doesn't appear to be able to set serial port options properly. It works ok if I use pmadm -a to add services, but the Serial port manager stops it working. It falls over a lot too. I think this thing is rather too complicated for it's own good. Food for thought? Or mindless tripe? A.A.&.T..I.N.F.O.R.M.A.T.I.O.N..S.Y.S.T.E.M.S JakeyBaby% mail jhill@srd.bt.co.uk Techno.Crypto.Emusic
